7. How long do we retain your personal information?
Œil Santé MD retains your personal information for as long as necessary to provide our services, manage our operations, and comply with our legal and regulatory obligations (healthcare providers, for example, must comply with legal record-keeping obligations). When we no longer need it, we securely destroy your personal information or anonymize it so that it no longer identifies you.
8. How do we ensure the security and confidentiality of your personal information?
During the retention period, Œil Santé MD takes reasonable physical and technical measures to secure data containing personal information. For example, we use encryption technology to encode sensitive information, as well as firewalls and intrusion detection software.
Your personal information is stored on the servers of our service providers in the province of Quebec, and for some cloud correspondence services, we use trusted providers with servers located in Canada, the United States, and Ireland. By using the website, you consent to the transfer of personal information outside of the province of Quebec. Privacy laws may differ from one jurisdiction to another, and when located outside of the province of Quebec, such personal information is subject to the laws of the jurisdiction in which it is located and may need to be disclosed to governments, courts, law enforcement agencies, or regulatory authorities in that jurisdiction, in accordance with the laws of that jurisdiction. Once the retention period has expired, personal information is destroyed. Only statistics or reports containing depersonalized and anonymized data that no longer identifies you may be retained for extended periods.

11. How do we update this Privacy Policy?
We may make changes to this Privacy Policy from time to time. We always indicate the date of the last modifications. If the changes are significant, we will publish a highlighted notice on our website or communicate with you to inform you, subject to applicable laws.
